Best Rides

You can’t leave Tivoli Gardens without jumping on Rutschebanen, the park’s famous wooden roller coaster dating back to 1914.

However, for real adventure seekers, The Demon roller coaster is a must. The ride lasts for just under two minutes, and it features a zero-G roll and two loops. There is even a virtual reality option, where you can fly through ancient mythical China to make the ride even more immersive and memorable!

Furthermore, the Star Flyer will bring butterflies in your stomach, while you’ll be sitting in a chair and spinning, 80 meters high.

There are many rides for kids, including The Start Tower, The Elf Train, and The Lighthouse air carousel, to mention but a few.

Other activities to check out

A trip to Tivoli Gardens wouldn’t be complete without some fascinating live performances that rival the park’s rides. The Pantomime Theater is free and is an entertaining theatrical experience for both children and adults. Some other notable experiences are the Tivoli Aquarium and the Amusement Arcades. Just keep in mind that these do have an extra cost.

Don’t forget to check out The Tivoli Youth Guard, featuring children who put on performances and parades wearing traditional uniforms that recall the Royal Danish Guard.

From mid-May to early September, the Tivoli Festival features a diverse variety of events and performances, including operas and symphony concerts. If you are more of a rock’n’roll type, there is even a Friday Rock concert once a week.

Tivoli Gardens is an exceptional amusement park not just because of its rich history and unique rides, but also because of its extensive program of live music and performances.
